Restoration of the Source of Sungai Pencala
Location: Taman Persekutuan Bukit Kiara, TTDI, Kuala Lumpur

Description: Global Environment Centre embarked on an ambitious project to restore the source of Sungai Pencala. The works took 2 weeks to complete and ended with a celebration in conjunction with World Biodiversity Day. More than 60 people participated in the event, consisting of GAB Foundation Staff Volunteers, National Landscape Department, Federal Territory Department of Irrigation and Drainage, Kuala Lumpur City Council and GEC Volunteers. Participants helped to complete the restoration works with tree planting, herbs planting, habitat creation, tree tagging and river clean up activities.
