WORLD WETLANDS DAY FEBRUARY 2010
World Wetlands Day is celebrated on 2nd February every year. To celebrate this year, GEC organized a mangrove planting activity in Kuala Gula, Perak on 6 February 2010. Students from local schools as well as community members had loads of fun planting some 2000 mangrove seedlings! Take a look at the photos and read more about SMK Teloi Kanan's tree planting efforts!

HELP PROTECT THE KOTA DAMANSARA FOREST!
GEC along with other organisations like MNS and Wild Asia have been working with the community to help protect the Kota Damansara Community Forest Park for the past few years. However, there is a new threat on the way. A private housing development is being proposed in the forest area, which will lead to further destruction of the 100-year old forest! INTERVARSITY CASE STUDY CHALLENGE 2010 -SOCIAL ENTERPRISE IN ACTION!!
The case study challenge is a business simulation, modelled after the realities and problems faced in the corporate world. Teams comprising of 4 participants will be given a case which requires the teams to perform problem-solving, launch a new product, formulate new strategies, and others. This year, the theme is Social Enterprise in Action, which aims to develop the concept of social responsibility in undergraduates. Click here to find out more!
